North Korea Holds People with Great Human Rights Violations

• The population of North Korea is refused the freedom of movement (BBC, 2014);
• The population often suffers from hunger (The Fifth state, 2013);
• The women are the subject of human trafficking and sexual abuse (KBA, 2014);
• The legal system lacks the implementation features (Hosaniak, 2013);
• The people are subjects to public executions and brutal behavior from the authorities (BBC, 2014);
• The population is refused with diverse sources of information (BBC, 2014).

The Voices of the Victims

• Yeonmi Park – a victim of the regime, who escaped North Korea at the age of 13, witnessed public executions, death, and sexual abuse. Currently lives in Chicago, USA (Engel & Werner, 2018).
• Lucia Jang – a victim of the regime, who witnessed the hunger and slavery in the 90s and managed to escape the regime (The Fifth State, 2013). Currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
• Hyeonseo Lee – passed the stage from admiring the North Korean regime to suffering from famine (TED, 2013). Currently a human rights activist.
• Independent expert on human rights (IJRS, n.d.) – providing a professional opinion is imperative.
